What To Expect

 

Located on the Oregon Coast, our worship services are casual. Please dress comfortably. We encourage you to arrive about 10 minutes before the service starts so you can grab a cup of coffee and meet our family.

Our family comes from a wide variety of backgrounds, having all experienced the Lord's amazing grace. It is our goal to love each other & our visitors with that same grace.

Our pastor teaches Bible-centered messages with practical application to help us grow & live out our faith during the week. The Gospel is always presented in order to invite people to discover all that Jesus Christ has done for us, both now & for eternity.

Our worship music varies depending on the rotation of worship leaders, with a mix of hymns & contemporary music.

The offering time is meant for our church family and goes to cover church expenses as well as ministering in our community & around the world.

We celebrate open communion on the 1st Sunday of the month.

We hope that you will join us as we seek to know the Lord better, discover His perfect plan for our lives, and to glorify Him in everything we do!

Our Story

 

We are a small family gradually growing younger.  We are excited about the growth we have seen in all age levels.  It is our prayer that we can soon begin a children’s ministry & youth ministry.  In the mean time we continue to focus on the spiritual growth of those in our fellowship, as well as putting a lot of effort into reaching out to our community by meeting needs.  We have well stocked food pantry & have a benevolence fund which we have used to meet a lot of needs in our community.  Over the years we have helped a lot of people/families get settled and start new lives here in Bandon.  God continues to bless/provide for those efforts.

I have been pastor for almost 17 years.  When we arrived, we felt led to tear down any walls of division that were hindering this fellowship.  It’s not that there were major problems, but a lack of unity had hindered growth and the result was many people coming & going.  We began this process by studying the letter Jesus wrote to the church in Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7).  That church was doing many great things, but had lost it’s First Love. Out of this letter we have really looked to God to reestablish our love for Him – to bring it back to where it was when we were first saved.  We also believe that as that love for God grows, our love for each other grows, and out of that, our love for those who don’t know Jesus yet, would also grow.  God has blessed these efforts as we have seen a lot of spiritual growth and a much warmer family atmosphere over the years.

What we Believe

The Scriptures

We believe “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect,
thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Godhead

We believe in the Triune God, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power & glory and having precisely the same attributes & perfections.

Man's Creation/Fall

We believe man was created in the image & likeness of God but through sin, became alienated from God,      acquired a sin nature & came under the judicial sentence of death.

Person & Work of Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit & born of the Virgin Mary, in order to reveal God & redeem sinful man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a propitiary & substitutionary sacrifice & that our redemption is made sure to us by His resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in Heaven,    exalted at the right hand of God where, as High Priest for His    people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor & Advocate.  We believe in a pre-trib rapture, the premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ & in His Kingdom reign on the earth.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, in the present age indwells all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ & seals them unto the day of redemption & we believe that every believer is commanded of God to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Personality of Satan

Satan is a person, the author of sin & the cause of the fall; he is the arch enemy of God & man and he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God offered to man by grace & received by personal faith in Jesus Christ, and that this faith is manifested in works pleasing to God.  We believe that all true believers once saved shall be kept saved forever.

The Church

We believe that the Church is a spiritual organism made up of all born again persons in this age irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations.

Conclusion

We believe this body of doctrine is a sacred trust to be preserved & taught in its purity, but we also believe that it teaches a life to be lived & a Gospel to be preached.
